Bingo Games
We’ve talked about the different varieties of bingo on offer, but what about specific titles? Just like online slots, there’s a broad range of games to suit all tastes. And depending on which bingo game you choose, you could get access to some unique special features for an extra thrill. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular options at top bingo sites.
Deal or No Deal Bingo
Fancy a stab at the classic British game show hosted by Noel Edmonds? While the show may no longer be on the air, you can enjoy it in another format — Deal or No Deal Bingo! Developed by Playtech, the game is available in 90-ball and 75-ball variants.
Along with standard bingo prizes for lines and a full house, there’s the unique Deal or No Deal feature. Just like the TV show, one mystery box is selected each round alongside 21 other numbered boxes. Whenever a number is called, the corresponding box is opened, revealing the amount inside. When a player eventually calls for a full house, they have a choice to make: take the banker’s deal or open the mystery box. Pick wisely and a larger prize is theirs for the taking.
This isn’t the only extra reward on offer. Deal or No Deal bingo games also feature progressive jackpots starting at £10,000. At midnight, the jackpot increases at a rate of 2% of all stakes made that day. To win it, a player must hit a full house within 34 calls. The calling player wins half, and the rest is split between the other players in the room.
Entain develops another version of Deal or No Deal Bingo — also available as 75- or 90-ball — but it lacks the progressive jackpot of the Playtech edition.
Rainbow Riches Bingo
One of Barcrest’s most popular slots also has its own bingo spin-off. And just like the slot game, there are some exciting bonus features to deliver extra rewards to lucky players.
Rainbow Riches Bingo is themed around the luck of the Irish. It’s a 40-ball game with eight numbers per ticket, split into two four-leafed clovers. Prizes are awarded for the first complete clover and also a full house.
The Rainbow Jackpot is the first feature to take note of. The rainbow itself has 50 steps along which the leprechaun moves — jumping one step every time a rainbow clover is called during the game. There are three prizes up for grabs: bronze at 10 steps, silver at 25 steps, and gold at 50. If the leprechaun lands on or passes over a prize, it’s split between those in the room with a ticket for that game.
That’s not all, though. At the start of every game, players can choose a lucky number for the Wishing Well feature. If their number is called during the game, they’ll receive a gold coin to add to their Wishing Well. There’s a £5 prize when you collect 40 gold coins. Keep in mind you’ll need to buy at least five tickets for a game if you want to receive a gold coin.
Mystic Meg Bingo
Those with a penchant for astrology are likely familiar with Mystic Meg and her horoscope column in The Sun newspaper. In fact, she’s so popular that she has her own bingo spin-off! Mystic Meg Bingo is a 50-ball game where zodiac symbols are used in place of numbers. Players get ten symbols each, and there’s only a prize for a full house, so all your symbols must be called in order to win. One handy feature of this bingo game is the ability to change the stake, with options from 25p to £2.
Mystic Meg Bingo also features two progressive jackpots. Both are split 100% between all players in the room when they’re won, proportionate to stake size.
- The Mini Meg’a Bingo Jackpot is seeded at £200 and is won when a full house is called within 19 balls.
- The Mystic Meg’a Bingo Jackpot is seeded at £1,500 and is won when a full house is called within 16 balls.
As you might have guessed, Mystic Meg Bingo is only available at Sun Bingo and its sister site, Fabulous Bingo.
