Design & Usability

If we’d have to choose one word to describe 21LuckyBet’s design, we’d have to go with ‘functional’. There’s nothing particularly unique to mention here in terms of appearance. With a simple red and black colour scheme, the focus is very much on the games. These are represented by large, bright thumbnails that certainly catch your eye. With that said, we’re disappointed ProgressPlay didn’t take a more bespoke approach here. The site theme is pretty much copied and pasted from some of its other sites — PlaceBet is one example, albeit with a heavier focus on sports betting.

Nevertheless, 21LuckyBet ticks most of the boxes in terms of user interface. It’s easy to navigate the games library thanks to segmentation by game type, and there’s a search box and provider dropdown list to further filter the results. Since slots make up the bulk of the library, we’d like to see more ways to browse this gaming genre — categorising by theme, RTP, or mechanics would all be helpful additions. Within the table games section, some titles are placed in the wrong categories, although this isn’t a big deal as there aren’t too many games here.

Cashier

The cashier page at 21LuckyBet is pretty well-rounded. An abundance of debit cards are supported, including the main players of Visa and Mastercard, and there’s a good selection of e-wallets too. Players can choose from PayPal, ecoPayz, and MuchBetter for their deposits, as well as Neteller for withdrawals. We’re unsure if Neteller is also offered as a deposit option — the site wasn’t clear about that.

Those looking for alternative ways to fund their accounts can use PayviaPhone or Paysafecard, although these services don’t support withdrawals. Trustly is available too, so we’d say every base is covered.

Those looking for fast withdrawal speeds will be disappointed though. 21LuckyBet takes one business day to process all withdrawal requests, with the actual transfer taking several days on top of that. Even fast methods like PayPal can take up to seven business days.

Another frustrating aspect of withdrawals at 21LuckyBet is the fee attached. Customers must pay 1% of their withdrawal up to a maximum of £3. Obviously this isn’t a huge amount and you’d need to withdraw £300 to hit the limit, but the fact remains that casinos who put players first don’t charge them to cash out. To that end, any withdrawal fee — no matter the size — is unwelcome in our view.

There’s a lot of potential with 21LuckyBet. Its slots library is definitely a highlight, offering fantastic choice across a vast range of games. If the site were to expand its live dealer and table games collections, it would certainly compete with leading casino brands. The site is functional on mobile and desktop with a solid menu of payment options.

That said, we also have quite a few gripes. The welcome bonus comes with steep wagering requirements and some other unfriendly conditions. We’re also not impressed by the withdrawal fees.

So, is this casino worth your time? For slots fans, we’d argue it is. But to succeed in the long term, 21LuckyBet needs to prove that its players are its priority.
