At first glance, the welcome bonus at Conquer Casino looked pretty compelling to me. A 100% match up to £100 is a pretty common offer among online casinos, and there are 10 free spins thrown in for NetEnt’s classic Starburst slot. While the latter didn’t excite me too much — I’ve played that slot more than enough and you’re not getting a lot of free spins anyway — it’s nice to see a best-of-both offer such as this one.

Unfortunately, the terms and conditions are where this bonus lets itself down. I was pretty disappointed by the steep 50x wagering requirements. In fairness this isn’t practically much different to lower requirements of 20x or 30x — in either case, withdrawing your bonus winnings is unlikely. Nonetheless, it does make this offer a little less competitive than at alternative online casinos.

Design & Usability

While Conquer Casino didn’t bowl me over with its appearance and design, at the very least it does have a little more character than some other sites I’ve seen. In keeping with the name, the designers have run with the ‘conquering’ theme — with a range of characters adorning the site’s graphics, from NetEnt’s intrepid explorer Gonzo to face-painted viking warriors. As for the nuts and bolts, this casino sports a pretty standard dark theme which helps the colourful thumbnails pop as you browse the library.

In terms of the user interface itself, I found Conquer Casino to deliver more or less the same experience as other competitor sites. The neat grid of games is enjoyable to scroll through, but a lack of filtering options means it’s harder to drill down if you’re looking for something more specific. I did like the inclusion of a ‘mobile casino’ category, however — these games are particularly well-suited to playing on your handheld device. Arguably the most important aspect of an online casino its its games library — does Conquer Casino live up to its name here? In my opinion, it lands somewhere in the middle. There are undoubtedly plenty of great games available here. Handily, the newest titles are displayed at the top, and I was pleased to see recent releases including Bison Moon Ultra and Hacksaw Gaming’s beautiful Densho slot.

It felt to me like lesser-known slots were brought to the forefront here. In my book, that’s a good thing and means it’s easy to discover hidden gems you’d otherwise overlook, rather than playing the same old games you would at another casino. With that said, you’ll find plenty of classics too.

One area that is unfortunately quite lacking is the live casino library. There are just 14 games here, predominantly offering a number of blackjack and roulette variants. In terms of game shows, there’s just one — Football Studio. Considering the live casino library is provided by Evolution, it would be nice to see a few more titles here. I was particularly surprised at the lack of the developer’s popular Lightning series. On the whole, I was pretty impressed with Conquer Casino’s cashier section. In particular, e-wallet users are in good hands here, with PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, and Payz supported.
