Throughout my time reviewing online casinos, I’ve never come across a 400% matched deposit, which means that depositing and playing £10 will land you £40 worth of bonus funds.

However, every welcome bonus is, to some extent, held back by restrictive terms and conditions, and William Hill’s is no different. In this case, it’s the combination of 35x wagering requirements and a mean expiry period of just 24 hours that keeps this bonus in check. Plus, your qualifying £10 deposit must be wagered on Big Bass Bonanza, which is a great slot but might not be every player’s first choice. Being asked to limit free spins to a particular slot is very common, but you rarely see an operator stipulating that your qualifying wager must be limited to a single slot.

All things considered, then, the welcome bonus isn’t all that great, but there are plenty of ongoing promotions to keep you stocked up on bonuses throughout your time at William Hill.

Design & Usability

The William Hill brand hasn’t got to where it is today by producing poorly designed sites, so it came as no surprise to find that William Hill provides an extremely professional online casino experience. The site is neatly divided into four different sections — ‘Vegas’, ‘Live Casino’, ‘Bingo’ and ‘Poker’ — which makes things much simpler for those looking to access specific genres of casino games. Given the amount of titles that platforms like William Hill are able to offer, it always helps if you can cut down on the amount of games you’re seeing on your screen at any one time.

In the main ‘Vegas’ section, which is the main focus of this review, there are a staggering amount of filterable options that help you narrow down your search even more. For example, when you click on ‘Jackpots’ in the left-hand menu, you’re greeted by nine more categories, which is not only testament to the user-friendliness of William Hill’s platform, but also to the amount of progressive jackpots available to play!

Once again, I’m struggling to fault William Hill’s design and overall user experience: it’s one of the many reasons they are one of the nation’s leading gambling brands.

As one of the UK’s biggest online casino and sportsbook brands, William Hill is partnered with lots of the industry’s most esteemed software providers.

The site doesn’t advertise all of the games developers represented in its catalogue, but you can search for your favourite programmers in the search bar, and I’m fairly certain William Hill Casino will accommodate. What I like about this option is that it will categorise the provider’s games into different genres, which is a very rare and appreciated feature.

With a comparatively small games library, you may find there are one or two missing developers, but you will always find something fun to play. For example, my preferred slots developer, Nolimit City, was not available, but I found plenty of my favourite Yggdrasil titles.

The total number of slots may not be as big as some of William Hill Casino’s competitors, but I’ve always thought there are simply too many slots on offer at most sites, and I prefer it when sites limit their listed titles to the best of the best.

Elsewhere, there’s plenty of table game classics like blackjack and roulette, including plenty of in-house titles exclusive to William Hill. Head over to the ‘Live Casino’ section and you’ll be greeted by lots of live variations of these games, as well live baccarat, sic bo, craps and a host of high-quality game shows from the likes of Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play.
